Athens’ English-language comedy series GRENGLISH returns for a special Halloween edition! We’re inviting everyone in the audience to dress up in their favourite Halloween costume, the scarier, sillier or more ridiculous, the better!
This Halloween, GRENGLISH is getting a little darker — and a lot funnier.
On 30 October, GRENGLISH, the English-language stand-up comedy series bringing international comedians to audiences in Athens, returns with a special Halloween edition featuring British comedian David Alfie Ward.
Born and raised in the East End of London, David Alfie Ward began his stand-up career performing in a small bar in his hometown. Since then, he has gone on to perform at some of the biggest comedy clubs and venues across the UK, Mainland Europe, South Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the USA and Australia.
His comedy career has taken him well beyond the live circuit. David has featured on TalkSPORT, Capital FM, ITV, BBC 5 Live, BT Sport, Metro and LADbible, while his television work includes hosting The Stand Up Sketch Show and performing TV warm-ups for Mo Gilligan, Harry Redknapp and Jamie Redknapp.
He has also opened for some of the biggest names in comedy, including Dane Baptiste, Darren Harriott and Michelle Wolf.
Now, he is bringing his stand-up to Athens for a very special GRENGLISH Halloween night.
Expect sharp observations, British humour, international experiences and plenty of stories from a comedian who has taken his act around the world.
Whether you’re looking for a different kind of Halloween night or simply want to spend the evening laughing in English, GRENGLISH: Halloween Special with David Alfie Ward promises a night of stand-up comedy with an international twist.
GRENGLISH is a comedy night about what happens when language, identity and culture don’t quite translate and why those misunderstandings are often the funniest part.
Whether you’re local, international, bilingual, half-Greek, fully confused, or simply here for a good laugh, come join us for a night where nothing gets lost in translation… except maybe the joke.
